A It was a hot summer. A lion went to a pool to drink water. Just then a pig came there to drink water, too. Both of them wanted to drink first.
They looked at each other with red eyes and had a big fight soon. They were so angry with each other that soon they started bleeding（流血）.
Feeling tired, both stopped for a while to have a rest. Suddenly they heard the noise of vultures （秃鹰）. They saw that a large number of vultures were looking at them with longing eyes.
In no time, both the lion and the pig understood that the vultures were waiting for one of them to be killed by the other so that they might eat his dead body.
So both of them became friends, drank water together and went away.
So, their friendship saved their lives.
