在英语教学中培养初中生学习动机的方法_

   动机是影响外语学习的重要情感因素之一。与此同时,好的教学方法是一个具有丰富知识的老师所必须具有的另一个重要的因素。现在越来越多的英语老师已经意识到这个问题的重要性并努力改革传统的教学方法。本文作者通过访谈的方式对4名初中英语教师进行了调查,以期找到提高初中生英语学习动机的教学方法和老师在培养学生动机中所起的作用。结果发现一个具有良好动机却没有接受良好教学的学生所取得的成就好于那些没有良好动机但接受良好教学的学生。这表明动机是语言学习中一个很重要的因素。通过这个调查研究,作者在教师的教学法上就如何提高学生的英语学习动机给出一些建议。第一,教师应该使语言学习富有挑战性及情趣,将学习者培养成综合型动机学习者。第二,教师要尽量提供趣味性较强的教材,并使课堂气氛生动活泼,这样能使学习过程变得愉快,效率高。第三,在外语教学课堂上,教师还应适量设计一些较为真实的情景化训练,让学生觉得学有所用,尽量弥补外语学习者很难有机会接触目的语的语言环境,很难将所学知识应用于实践这一缺憾。
   作者希望通过本研究对今后的教学活动有所帮助,使更多的英语教师能够意识到动机的重要性,从而提高学生英语学习的效率。

   Abstracts:Motivation is one of the important affective factors influencing foreign language learning. Meanwhile a teaching method is a vital aspect for a good teacher besides his wide knowledge. Nowadays more and more English teachers have realized the importance of this problems so that they have been making their efforts to reform the traditional teaching method. So the author studies 4 junior school teachers by interviewing and tries to find effectual ways to cultivate students’ motivation in their English learning, and teachers’ role in cultivating students’ motivation. And the results show that a well-motivated student badly taught will probably do better than a poorly-motivated student well taught.The result shows that motivation is the most important factor in success or failure of language learning. Therefore, the author suggest some ways to keep students’ learning motivation. Firstly, teacher should make the English language study full of challenge and interest, try their best to cultivate students’ integrative motivation. Secondly, teacher should try to offer interesting text, and make the class full of active atmosphere, thus can make a relax and effective study process. Thirdly, in the English teaching class, teacher might bring in some authentic tasks, so that students realize the value of English learning.
   And the author does hope, this study might be helpful to the English teaching activities, and more and more English teachers come to realize the importance of motivation so that improve students’ English level.
