　　 望子成龙 　　 Once time I remembered talking to a parent, whose son I was teaching English to. I asked the parent why his soon was enrolled in so many classes and replied, "I want my son to become a dragon." I couldn"t understand his meaning. When I asked a chinese friend with good English I understood that his meaning had been “望子成龙”, which in English would be better expressed as " I have high hopes for my son/daughter."

　　 上下联都是中补结构的短语，可以说是把英文和中文的文化很好地结合在了一起。网友纷纷称赞这副“中为洋用”的洋春联有创意。
